WELCOME TO “BASIC COOKING”

Hi… my name is Clark Robinson, a while back I took a 48 week Culinary course that taught “cooking methods“… rather than cooking from recipes. During that course I learned “HOW TO COOK” using the same cooking methods Professional Chef’s use around the world, those “methods” are universal.
On these post you will discover how I prepared each meal that is posted in the cooking section, (1) including the ingredients and the cooking methods I used. You will note that the “amount” I used of particular ingredients are not stated (in most post)… I do that because that is not how I was taught… I was taught that you add ingredients by “taste” not by amount… and I can attest to that as being the ultimate and best way to season your food, satisfy your own taste (also, your guest will be glad that you did as well)… and so I leave it to you as to who much of what you want to add. The technique... pull a little of the dish you are preparing to the side, add a little of the particular seasoning you’re wanting to add… and TASTE IT… “before” you add it to the entire meal. I encourage you to do the same, you will be amazed at how exacting the meals you prepare begin to become.

During and since that course I have prepared over 100 meals personally. On this site I have shared many of those meals with you, and will continue to do so… stay tuned.
